Santa & Glenda Make an Entrance at the Jervis Shopping Centre

Santa Claus made a dramatic entrance to the Jervis Shopping Centre today, Wednesday 17th November, lowering himself 60 feet by rope to meet Glenda Gilson, the new Jervis Shopping Centre Fashion Ambassador. An estimated 10,000 thousand children will visit Santa in the centre by Christmas Eve. The most popular toys this year are - an estimated half of children will ask for Flikers and Nintendo DS, 30% will ask for bicycles and pets and 20% will ask for Zhu Zhu hamsters. Santa is just one of three new additions to the centre after Forever 21 and New Look recently opened their doors.

“It is a very positive time for the Jervis Shopping Centre as we have bucked a nationwide downward trend in retail by enhancing our offering and bringing in two of the biggest worldwide fashion brands. In addition Next is soon to open a new store in the centre four times the size of its current location. It is important to not just fill spaces but offer an exciting retail mix that will appeal to customers.

Santa’s Grotto at the Jervis Shopping Centre is open until the 24th December. The opening hours are:

Monday to Wednesday 11am – 6pm
Thursday & Friday 11am – 7pm
Saturday       9am – 6pm
Sunday           12pm – 6pm

From December 19th:
Monday to Wednesday 10am – 6pm
Thursday & Friday 10am – 7pm
Saturday       9am – 6pm
Sunday           10am – 6pm
Christmas Eve     10am – 3pm

A visit to Santa and a deluxe present is €6 per child. A visit to Santa and photograph is €6 per child. A visit to Santa, deluxe present and a photograph is €11 per child.

The Jervis Shopping Centre has extended opening hours from 5th December, giving shoppers plenty of time to find the perfect present from the centre’s 60 stores from fashion to household, electronics, gifts and more and the centre is easily accessed by Luas, bus or car (with 750 spaces) and there is even a Dublin Bike Station just beside the centre.
