SHOPPING TIPS – how the pro’s do it!

The great myth about shopping is that ALL women love it! This is for the most part, completely untrue! Yes there are the 5% of wealthy skinny bitches who can think of nothing better than hitting the shops for a nua guna deasa! But most women hate shopping for themselves.

What MOST women love shopping for is food or gifts, also on the list of things most women love shopping for is shoes and handbag! The reason being you can’t really lose or gain weight on your wrist or ankles!

MOST WOMEN FIND SHOPPING FOR THEMSELVES VERY STRESSFUL

And that is why people like me have the job that I have! I am here to take the pain out of dressing rooms and put the fun into shop floor…so here is my quick guide to getting the best from your shopping experience.

1. Be honest about your size.
This is the most difficult part. But accept your size right now and start here, waiting till you get down to a 12 or 14 is setting yourself up for a fall and you will just stay in you big baggy clothes or your safety black or worse still your track suit!

2. Diagnose you body shape.
The 3 basic shapes are pear, apple, hour-glass. Measure the distance between your shoulders and compare it to the distance between your hip to figure out which shape your are.

Pear: your hips are wider than your shoulders

Apple: your shoulders are wider than your hips

Hourglass: your hips and shoulders are equidistant

3.  Apply our basic principles to body shape to get the most from your clothes

D.E.B.

D for Distract from the bits you don’t like with darker shades, clever print or good tailoring
E is for Emphasize the good bits with bright tones, cut and style
And B if for Balance…stand back and make sure your silhouette is balanced

4.SHOP FOR YOUR SHAPE NOT FOR TREND to get the most from you new clothes

5. Know what you are looking for. Window shopping is for windows

6.  Enlist the services of a good shop assistant or personal shopper (personal shoppers are free in all stores and there is no obligation to buy)

7. Don’t buy bargains for bargains sake, add a zero to the price and if you would still buy it, go for it!

8. Spending your hard earned cash should be a delight so relax and enjoy
